For over 40 years now the Community of the Crucified One has been privileged to be a part of the ever growing Body of Christ. From the early days of its beginnings, under the leadership of our dear departed founder, Bishop Edward Donovan, up unto the current leadership, the church has been blessed to serve others searching for meaning in their lives. The church holds fast to its vision to go into the highways and byways of life and tell all men who listen that Jesus Christ loves them. When men and woman ask us “How do you know?” we point them to the cross and say, “Because He died for you.” Upon hearing the name of the Community, a Baptist minister once remarked, “If it isn’t the church of the Crucified One, then whose church is it?”

Over the years the vision has been carried from coast to coast and thousands upon thousands of lives have been touched by God. Today the ministry continues to grow and seek the path laid out before it by Almighty God through the power of His Holy Spirit. Every year we look forward to our annual Cantata which we have recently renamed “the Greatest Story.” The story, like the message of the cross, is a simple one… God loves you and sent His ONLY Son into this world that we who open our hearts to Him may enjoy the hope and reality of a life that never ends. Jesus is not a religion; He is God, and in him there are no longer religious discriminations, racial discriminations, social discriminations, gender biases…no, all are one. Jesus said that he came to set the captives free. Receive Jesus and find the answer to all that holds you bound. He took the Cross to show his love; He rose from the dead to prove His power and destroy the curse of sin. All because He wants the best for you! CHRIST IS RISEN, JUST AS HE SAID!
